Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in South Africa to attend the 15th BRICS Summit, will virtually witness the historic landing attempt on the lunar surface as part of the country's third lunar mission - Chandrayaan-3.

According to Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Chandrayaan-3 is all set to create history by landing on the uncharted south pole of the moon. The attempted soft-landing has been scheduled at 18:04 hrs IST.

TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) made a steady stock market debut, with its shares listed at Rs 207.05, a 5 per cent premium over its issue price of Rs 197 per share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday. The stock of logistics solution provider opened at Rs 206.30 on the BSE.

In the middle of mounting complaints from consumers regarding non-receipt of reimbursement for off-board chargers, the Centre has taken decisive action against four defaulting original equipment manufacturers (OEMs): Ola Electric, Ather Energy, TVS Motor Company, and Hero MotoCorp (under the Vida electric scooter brand).

These companies are being ordered to pay a combined total of approximately Rs 278 crore to around 200,000 customers by the end of November.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has barred media company Brightcom Group's chairman SK Reddy from dealing in the securities market and has also restricted him from holding director post in any listed company for alleged irregularities.

As Chandrayaan-3 is all set to create history by landing on the uncharted south pole of the Moon, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said that "Jo Aadharshila (foundation stone) Nehru Ji ne rakha, aaj world mein danka baja raha hai'".

Chandrayaan-3's Lander Module (LM) - lander Vikram and rover Pragyan - is scheduled to make a touch down near the lunar south pole at 6.04 pm on Wednesday.

BSE on Tuesday announced the postponement of the removal of Jio Financial Services Ltd from all S&P BSE Indices from August 24 to August 29 after the stock hit the lower circuit for two days in a row.

In a circular, BSE said, "Asia Index Private Limited recently announced via Notice No: 20230818-21 that effective before the open of trading on Thursday, August 24, 2023, Jio Financial Services Ltd will be removed from all the S&P BSE Indices following its listing on Monday, August 21, 2023, due to its spin-off from its parent, Reliance Industries."

A recent research published under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) found that 6.5 per cent of patients who experience post-coronavirus conditions died within a year of their hospital discharge, according to a report by the Indian Express.

The study examined data from 14,419 patients across 31 hospitals, tracking their health over a year through phone follow-ups. These patients had been hospitalised with moderate to severe Covid-19 infection.
