R R Kable (RRKL), wires and cables manufacturer, made a decent stock market debut, with its shares listed at Rs 1,180, a 14 per cent premium over its issue price of Rs 1,035 per share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday. The stock listed at Rs 1,179 on the BSE.
Post listing, RRKL hit a high of Rs 1,198.05 and a low of Rs 1,173.20 on the BSE in intra-day trade. In comparison, the Nifty 50 was down 0.76 per cent at 19,979.55 at 10:02 AM.

French company TotalEnergies is in the final rounds of investing about $300 million in a new joint venture (JV) company with Adani Green Energy, The Economic Times (ET) has reported. The joint venture will create a facility that will house close to 1 GW of renewable energy projects; the newspaper quoted people aware of the development.
The ownership of the JV company will be shared equally between the two partners. The JV will develop renewable energy-related infrastructure in the domain of solar and wind energy.

The price of 24-carat gold rose Rs 170 during Wednesday's early trade, with ten grams of the precious metal selling at Rs 60,220, according to the GoodReturns website. Silver price jumped Rs 300 with 1 kg of the precious metal selling at Rs 74,800.
The price of 22-carat gold went up by Rs 150, with the yellow metal selling at Rs 55,200.

With still no signs of a truce amid the raging armed conflict with Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, while accusing Moscow of being the aggressor and perpetrating "genocide" in his homeland, proposed a "peace formula" at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Tuesday.
Addressing the UNGA session, Zelenskyy claimed that Ukrainian children in Russia were being taught to "hate" their homeland, adding that all ties that Ukraine nationals have with their family members back home were being snapped.

It would be suitable if an age limit was introduced for using social media akin to a legal age for drinking alcohol, the Karnataka High Court said on Tuesday. The court added that the school-going children are addicted to it.
A division bench of Justices G Narendar and Vijaykumar A Patil observed while hearing an appeal by X Corp (formerly Twitter) challenging the single judge order of June 30, which had dismissed its plea to the takedown orders issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeiTY).

Burger King is in talks to sign a deal with Coca-Cola as its exclusive beverages partner, breaking off its 10-year relationship with PepsiCo.
Executives said the deal will be formalised and announced by the end of next quarter.
Burger King has been associated with PepsiCo since it came to India in 2014.

Online fashion retail company Myntra is going to make changes to its fee structure on product returns for customers with high return rates, The Economic Times (ET) has reported.
The experiment is being introduced under a project called "return-as-a-service" and it comes a few months after Myntra applied a flat "convenience fee" ranging from Rs 199 to Rs 299 on every order made by customers with a high rate of product returns, the report said.

Canada expelled a top Indian diplomat Monday as it investigates what Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called credible allegations that India's government may have had links to the assassination in Canada of a Sikh activist.
Trudeau said in Parliament that Canadian intelligence agencies have been looking into the allegations after Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a strong supporter of an independent Sikh homeland known as Khalistan, was gunned down on June 18 outside a Sikh cultural centre in Surrey, British Columbia.
