Chandrayaan-3 mission's Lander Module which touched down on the lunar surface, has rolled out the rover, Pragyan, with Isro saying "India took a walk on the moon".

On its official X handle, Isro said the "rover ramped down."

"Chandrayaan-3 ROVER: Made in India--Made for the Moon! The Ch-3 Rover ramped down from the lander and India took a walk on the moon!," it said. Official sources had earlier confirmed the development.

Shares of Manappuram Finance slipped 4 per cent to Rs 140 on the BSE in Thursday’s intra-day trade after 10 per cent equity of the company changed hands.

At 09:15 am; around 88.4 million shares representing 10.44 per cent of total equity of Manappuram Finance changed hands on the BSE, the exchange data shows. The names of the buyers and sellers were not ascertained immediately.

American politicians, newspapers and space research institutions hailed India Wednesday on the successful moon landing of Chandrayaan-3 as the country entered the elite club of three other nations -- United States, Russia and China -- that have a rover on the lunar surface.

In the process, India became the first country among the elite group to have its rover on the moon's south pole region, which the Indian Space Research Organisation believes could have traces of water.

With Vikram lander's successful landing on the far side of the Moon, India on Wednesday became the first country in the world to achieve the feat. At 6:04 pm, the lander, named after the Father of India's space mission, set its feet on the Moon, an event witnessed live by millions across the globe.

After landing on the Moon, Chandrayaan-3 sent a message to India, "India, I reached my destination and you too!"

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in South Africa to attend the 15th BRICS Summit, will virtually witness the historic landing attempt on the lunar surface as part of the country's third lunar mission - Chandrayaan-3.

According to Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Chandrayaan-3 is all set to create history by landing on the uncharted south pole of the moon. The attempted soft-landing has been scheduled at 18:04 hrs IST.

TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) made a steady stock market debut, with its shares listed at Rs 207.05, a 5 per cent premium over its issue price of Rs 197 per share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday. The stock of logistics solution provider opened at Rs 206.30 on the BSE.

At 10:01 AM; TVS SCS was quoting at Rs 201.30, up 2 per cent as against its issue price. The stock hit a high of Rs 208.50 and a low of Rs 200.05 on the BSE in intra-day trades so far. A combined 5.7 million shares changed hands on the NSE and BSE.

In the middle of mounting complaints from consumers regarding non-receipt of reimbursement for off-board chargers, the Centre has taken decisive action against four defaulting original equipment manufacturers (OEMs): Ola Electric, Ather Energy, TVS Motor Company, and Hero MotoCorp (under the Vida electric scooter brand).

These companies are being ordered to pay a combined total of approximately Rs 278 crore to around 200,000 customers by the end of November.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has barred media company Brightcom Group's chairman SK Reddy from dealing in the securities market and has also restricted him from holding director post in any listed company for alleged irregularities.

The market regulator has also restricted chief financial officer Narayan Raju from holding key positions while 21 others, including Shankar Sharma, have been barred from selling their stakes in the company.

As Chandrayaan-3 is all set to create history by landing on the uncharted south pole of the Moon, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said that "Jo Aadharshila (foundation stone) Nehru Ji ne rakha, aaj world mein danka baja raha hai'".

Chandrayaan-3's Lander Module (LM) - lander Vikram and rover Pragyan - is scheduled to make a touch down near the lunar south pole at 6.04 pm on Wednesday.

BSE on Tuesday announced the postponement of the removal of Jio Financial Services Ltd from all S&P BSE Indices from August 24 to August 29 after the stock hit the lower circuit for two days in a row.

In a circular, BSE said, "Asia Index Private Limited recently announced via Notice No: 20230818-21 that effective before the open of trading on Thursday, August 24, 2023, Jio Financial Services Ltd will be removed from all the S&P BSE Indices following its listing on Monday, August 21, 2023, due to its spin-off from its parent, Reliance Industries."
