Bajaj launches KTM RC 200 and RC 390 in Pune

Two wheeler major Bajaj Auto today launched the KTM RC series of super sports motorcycles RSC 390 and RC 200 in Pune.

The RC 200 will cost Rs 1.60 lakh, while the RC 390 is priced at Rs 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company said that the current price were introductory and it may increase the prices later. Both the models are being manufactured at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan Plant.

Air India mulls redeploying 10% of its workforce

As part of its personnel rationalisation drive, Air India is considering redeploying about 10 per cent of its employees to various departments in the ministry of civil aviation. Currently, the airline has about 13,000 employees. Of this, 1,500-1,600 are likely to be redeployed to organisations such as the Bureau of Civil Aviation Safety and the Airports Authority of India.

Lanco Infratech is planning to sell 3,000 Mw of capacity to raise Rs 5,000 crore. The funds raised will be used to reduce the company’s debt, currently about Rs 35,000 crore.

Last month, the company had sold a 1,200-Mw thermal plant in Udupi to Adani Power for Rs 6,000 crore.

ICICI Bank goes for 1:5 stock split

ICICI Bank, the country’s largest private-sector lender, on Tuesday announced that its board had approved the splitting of each equity share into five. This is the first time ICICI Bank has gone for a share split.

“The board has considered and approved the sub-division (split) of one equity share of the bank having a face value of Rs 10 into five equity shares of face value of Rs 2 each,” the bank said in a statement.

Govt to introduce single-window platform for labour law compliance

New Delhi: The government will introduce a single window to help businesses meet compliance requirements for a raft of labour laws, it said on Monday while pledging to break the “last bastion of inspector raj” and make it easier to do business in India.

The single window—a website—will help simplify the process of labour compliance, effectiveness of inspection and redressal of grievances, labour minister Narendra Singh Tomar said. He told reporters that while his ministry will ensure the welfare of workers, the government will improve the ease of doing business and amend outdated labour laws.
