In stock markets, fortune favours the brave. More often than not, experts usually advise novice investors to stay away from penny stocks – that is stocks that trade below Rs 10. Microcap stocks – those between market capitalisation (market-cap) between Rs 10 crore and Rs 500 crore -, too, have been at times a ‘no go’ area for some stock market experts given the inherent volatility.

History, however, suggests otherwise.

HDFC Bank has announced that it will stop sending SMS alerts for UPI transitions up to Rs 100 from June 25. The private lender said that SMS alerts won’t be pushed for incoming payments up to Rs 500 from the said date either.

The lender informed its customers through emails and SMS that they would continue to receive email alerts for all UPI transactions.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's aide, Bibhav Kumar, on Wednesday approached the Delhi High Court to challenge his arrest in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Swati Maliwal assault case, denouncing it as "illegal."

Kumar has filed a writ petition seeking his release from jail. His legal representatives have additionally urged a departmental inquiry against the Delhi Police officers involved in the matter.

Prestige Estates Projects has posted 70 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 140 crore for the quarter ended March 2024 on lower income.
