Bajaj Auto on Friday reported 5.52 per cent decline in motorcycle sales to 2,46,233 units in December 2014.

The company had sold 2,60,645 motorcycle units in the year-ago period, Bajaj Auto Ltd. (BAL) said in a statement.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) today reported 21% jump in total sales at 59,365 units in December 2014.

The company had sold 49,078 units in the same month last year, it said in a statement.

In the domestic market, Hyundai sold 32,504 units last month as compared to 28,345 units in December 2013, up 14.7%.

Country's largest car-maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) today reported a 20.8% increase in total sales in December at 1,09,791 units.

The car maker had reported sales of 90,924 units in the same month last year.

Amid protests by right wing groups demanding ban on the Aamir Khan - starrer movie 'PK', Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday said there is no intentions of stopping the screening of a movie.

Speaking to reporters he said, "There is no intentions of stopping the screening of a movie which is running legally. Censor board has given a certificate to the film 'PK'."

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) on Wednesday recommended a base price of Rs 2,720 crore per megahertz (MHz) for 2100MHz spectrum in 22 telecom zones. The regulator reiterated its earlier suggestion that spectrum in the 2100MHz band should be auctioned along with other bands – 800, 900 and 1800MHz – that are scheduled for February 2015.

Trai has kept the price for 2100MHz band about 14% lower than the price it had recommended for 800MHz band. However, the price is lower than 900MHz, but is much higher than the base price of 1800Mhz band.

In a tragic incident, a 2-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed his mother after taking a gun from her purse while she was shopping at a Walmart store in the US.

The incident happened at the Walmart store in Hayden, Idaho, while a 29-year-old woman identified as Veronica J Rutledge was shopping with four kids.
