Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday tumbled over 349 points to close at 27,527.22 on weakening global cues after the latest poll suggested that Republican candidate Donald Trump was slightly ahead of market favourite and his Democratic Party rival Hillary Clinton in the US Presidential polls.

Also, the broader NSE Nifty broke below the 8,600-mark level to close at an over three-month lows. Investors are also waiting the US Federal Reserve’s interest-rate decision later today.

Following its launch on September 5, and after spending Rs 1.5 lakh crore, Chairman and Managing Director of the Reliance Industries Limited have revealed plans of spending another Rs 1 lakh crore on the Reliance Jio in the next four years for the better expansion of the network. Mumbai: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Tuesday asked credit rating agencies to frame detailed rules for rating criteria, processes and responsibilities of rating analysts and increase the range of their disclosures. Raters have 60 days to adhere to these norms.

The capital markets regulator asked rating companies to define on what basis they rate companies and how the rating process is carried out.

Seattle: Microsoft Corp. said a computer-hacking group that has previously targeted government agencies attacked its Windows software and Adobe Systems Inc.’s Flash product.

The company will release a security patch for its operating system on 8 November, Windows chief Terry Myerson said Tuesday in a blog post on Microsoft’s website.

NEW DELHI: State run miner CIL's coal supply to power sector declined by 2.9 per cent to 184.9 million tonnes (MT) in the first six months of the current fiscal even as demand for the fossil fuel has started picking up.

The dispatch of dry fuel by Coal India (CIL) in the corresponding period of FY'16 was at 190.6 MT, government data said.

Ford India today reported 7.94% growth in total sales at 22,043 units in October this year, riding on its overseas shipments.

The company had sold 20,420 units in the same month of last year, Ford India said in a statement.

Bajaj Auto released its sales figures for the month of October on Wednesday. In the month, the two-wheeler maker's domestic motorcycle sales were up 5%, however, exports fell 11%. Its total sales (commercial vehicles and motorcycle sales) grew on 1% compared to the same period last year.

According to the data released in a statement to the BSE, Bajaj Auto sold 2,12,997 units of its motorcycles in the domestic market in October, compared to the 2,02,042 units sold in the same period last year, a growth of 5%.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has moved higher by 3% to Rs 1,359 on the BSE, bouncing back 4% from early morning lows, after reporting a strong 61% year on year (YoY) growth in total tractor sales at 45,177 units in October 2016.

M&M’ Farm Equipment Sector (FES) sold total (domestic + exports) 27,280 units during October 2015, the company said in a statement.
