Social networking giant Facebook is set to launch its biggest business-to-business advertising campaign, educating marketers to invest more in mobile video ads specifically created for the platform’s smartphone users.

According to a report in Adweek on Sunday, the Facebook brand campaign to be launched on March 16, aims to educate and inspire marketers to generally shift industry mindsets toward clips created for smartphone users.

Demonetization finally over: RBI removes all limits on cash withdrawals

All limits on savings bank cash withdrawals that were imposed by the central bank post-demonetization ended on Monday, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced.

The weekly withdrawal limit per account had been raised to Rs 50,000 from Rs 24,000 with effect from February 20, and all limits on ATM withdrawals were slated to cease from March 13.

Bengaluru: Infosys Ltd has appointed Pervinder Johar as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of Edgeverve, its wholly owned products and platforms subsidiary, according to an executive familiar with the development, more than a year after the abrupt exit of previous boss Michael Reh.

Edgeverve brought 5.6% or $143 million of the company’s $2.5 billion revenue during the October-December quarter.

The Income Tax Department has received responses from 8.38 lakh persons out of the 18 lakh SMS/email queries it had sent to 17.92 lakh people for suspicious deposits post demonetisation. “More than 12 lakh responses have been received from 8.38 lakh distinct PANs/persons which are under verification,” Minister of State for Finance Santosh Kumar Gangwar said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.

The tax profiles of 17.92 lakh people were “not in line” with the cash deposits made by them during the 50-day demonetisation period.Under the Operation Clean Money launched on January 31, the I-T department sought online response on source of cash deposited by these persons.

MUMBAI: Idea Cellular subscribers are set to get lower bills after the company, India’s No. 3 telecom operator, said it won’t be charging for incoming calls on domestic roaming from April 1, a bid to retain customers amid a price war launched by Reliance Jio Infocomm.

“Effective April 1, 2017, Idea’s 200 million customers will enjoy free incoming calls while roaming on company’s 2G, 3G and 4G network across 400,000 towns and villages in the country. Idea customers will be able to make outgoing calls, SMS freely at affordable rates while roaming anywhere in India,” the company said in a statement on Sunday.

To align the periodic price band mechanism with the new graded surveillance measures (GSM) framework, BSE has decided to do away with weekly and monthly price limits for securities listed on its platform.

The stock exchange will phase out the weekly price bands from March 20 and the monthly price bands from April 3 for companies that attract such periodic price limits.

ICICI Bank, SBI, StanChart top bank frauds list: RBI

ICICI Bank topped the list of banks that witnessed most number of frauds during April-December period of 2016 with state-owned SBI taking the second spot, RBI data said.

During the first nine months of the current fiscal, as many as 455 fraud cases involving Rs 1 lakh and above were detected in ICICI Bank, closely followed by SBI (429), Standard Chartered (244) and HDFC Bank (237).

The country’s largest lender, State Bank of India, has formed a subsidiary to manage group’s real estate and premises. SBI Infra Management Solutions Pvt Ltd (SBIIMS) will deal with functions such as project management, facility, transaction management, advisory services and implementation of policies.

At present, the real estate management, a non-core activity function, is being looked after by 1,100 officials of the bank including 200 technical officials. It made sense to create separate entity employing much lesser number of employees nearing about 400 to handle activity more effectively and efficiently, said SBI chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya in a statement.
