The hearing on businessman Vijay Mallya’s extradition from the United Kingdom has been deferred to June 13, Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has said.

The CPS will be arguing on behalf of the Indian authorities when the extradition case comes up for hearing at the Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on June 13. The hearing was earlier scheduled for May 17.

New Delhi, May 12 (PTI): The Supreme Court Friday said the practice of triple talaq divorce was the worst and not a desirable form of dissolution of marriages among Muslims, even though there were schools of thought that termed it as legal.

There are “schools of thought [which] say that triple talaq is legal, but it is the worst and not desirable form for dissolution of marriages among Muslims,” a five-judge constitution bench, headed by Chief Justice J.S. Khehar, said on the second day of continued hearing on the matter.

State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest lender, has decided to impose a charge of ₹25 per transaction for cash withdrawals, irrespective of the amount, from its wallet — SBI Buddy — through automated teller machines from June 1.

As of now, this feature is not there in the ATM, but SBI will shortly introduce this service.
