"You cannot emotionally walk away from something that you have built over your lifetime - say over 33 or 35 years," said the co-founder and former CEO of Infosys.

Tata Motors and the Sanand plant workers are likely to sign a wage settlement agreement for five years (2015-2020) by June this year. Earlier, Tata had signed a landmark wage settlement with Pune Workers' Union in March for three years from September 2015 to August 2018, where a portion of workers' salaries was linked to their performance.

However, in the case of Sanand, it is still not clear whether the bifurcated wage package linking pay with performance would be adopted here as well. Worker leaders claimed that so far the discussions have not touched upon the subject.

A former advocate at the Supreme Court, Kawaljit Singh Bhatia, in a Facebook post has alleged that his mother was harassed by Jet Airways officials at the Delhi International Airport on May 3, causing her to have a blackout and an injury in the process.

"10.00 am: I receive a call from my mom that Jet Airways won't let her board the flight because she is late. She sounds hassled. I asked her to request the officials to let her board and if they still don't let her board, to let it pass and that will make a booking in another flight," Bhatia said in his post.

Welcoming the Supreme Court's decision to uphold the death penalty of four convicts involved in the Nirbhaya gang rape case, Maharashtra's public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam on Friday, however, expressed his apprehensions about top court's order being challenged.

Nikam said the convicts still have the option of approaching the President and can file a mercy petition asking him to revoke the order.

Global alternative asset firm TPG-managed The Rise Fund has agreed to invest $ 50 million in Hyderabad-based dairy products company Dodla Dairy Limited. The investment will be the the fund's first in the food and agri sector as well as its first in India.

Founded in 1995, Dodla procures and processes fresh milk to sell dairy products across 66 regions in South India. Its offerings are milk, curd, butter and ghee.

The Supreme Court of India today upheld the death sentence to four convicts in December 16, 2012 Nirbhaya Gangrape Case — Akshay Thakur, Pawan Gupta, Vinay Sharma and Mukesh Singh.

A three-judge bench headed by Justice Dipak Misra and comprising of Justices R. Banumathi and Ashok Bhushan. While pronouncing the verdict Justice Dipak Misra said modern methods were used in the investigation and a criminal conspiracy by the convicts was established, according to CNN-New 18. Justice Misra also said that the Dying Declaration of Nirbhaya was “beyond doubt”, while pronouncing that the CCTV footage was correct.
