The state-owned telecom firm BSNL expects to start a field trial of 5G services by the end of this financial year, company's chairman and MD Anupam Shrivastava said on Thursday.

"We had interaction with Nokia last week (on 5G). Next we are going to present about our requirements after which field trail concept is there. It should start before the end of this financial year," Shrivastava told reporters today.

Country's third largest software services firm Wipro today said it has bagged a new five-year deal from global stainless steel maker Outokumpu.

Wipro, however, did not disclose the financial details of the IT applications management contract from the Finnish firm.

On July 21, 2017, the board of directors of RIL had recommended issue of bonus shares to shareholders of the company by capitalisation of its reserves in the ratio of 1:1, i.e. 1 (one) bonus equity share of Rs 10 each fully paid-up for every 1 (one) existing equity share held by the members as on a record date.

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Irdai) will soon allow insurance brokers to offer consultancy for claims not exceeding Rs 10 crore without the need for regulatory approvals. For claims exceeding Rs 10 crore, the brokers will have to seek prior approval from the regulator.

The last Irdai board meeting held in August cleared changes to the Brokers Regulations, said Sanjay Kedia, president, Insurance Brokers Association of India, adding that a formal notification is expected to be out soon.

Diversified firm ITC has filed a Rs 1,000-crore defamation suit against proxy advisory firm IiAS at the Calcutta High Court for allegedly making 'defamatory' statements against the company and its directors.

In the suit, filed last month, ITC said Institutional Investor Advisory Services (IiAS) had published two reports that were "false, defamatory and malicious" on its website www.iiasadvisory.com in July 2017 before the AGM of the company.
