Sensex reclaims 36,000-mark in early trade ahead of key earnings

The benchmark Sensex advanced by over 200 points to reclaim the 36,000-mark in early trade on Tuesday led by gains on IT, realty and capital goods counters, ahead of key quarterly results scheduled later in the day.

The 30-share index rose for the third straight day by gaining 203.87 points, or 0.57%, at 36,138.59 in early trade.

Gurnani earned Rs 1.46 billion in 2017-18, which is 3,150 times the median employee remuneration (MRE) at the company. However, Gurnani's remuneration consisted of Rs 1.42 billion in stock options granted to him in 2013 and exercised during the current financial year.

Microsoft Corp. is going for the low-end of the personal computing market with a smaller, cheaper Surface Go tablet that takes on Apple Inc.’s cheapest iPads.

The Surface Go has a 10-inch screen, about the same size as the entry-level iPad. At $399, the device is $400 cheaper than the current Surface Pro tablet, but has slower Intel Corp. processors and about four hours less battery time, Microsoft said.
