The ministry of corporate affairs (MCA) on Tuesday said it has recovered depositors’ money worth Rs 1,514 crore from the Peerless General Finance and Investment Company, which was pending with the entity for the last 15 years.

The money was recovered by the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) Authority, which is part of the MCA and has been set up for promotion of investor awareness and protection of the interest of investors.

The GST profiteering investigation arm has found leading FMCG firm P&G India guilty of not passing on GST rate cut benefits to the tune of about Rs 250 crore by commensurate reduction in prices.
