AAP leader Atishi, who took the oath of office on Saturday, took charge as the eighth chief minister of Delhi on Monday.

The Delhi Assembly's session will be held on September 26 and 27.

Atishi has retained the 13 portfolios she held in the Kejriwal government, including those of education, revenue, finance, power and PWD.

BHEL shares rise:Shares of nuclear power company Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) surged as much as 3.02 per cent to hit an intraday high of Rs 274.20 per share on Monday, September 23, 2024.

The uptick in BHEL share price came after the company announced that it has secured an order worth Rs 6,100 crore from NTPC.

Vodafone Idea share price gained 8.3 per cent intraday, registering the day's high of Rs 11.35 per share, on the BSE on Monday. The buying interest in the telecom company stock came after it finalised a deal worth Rs 30,000 crore with Nokia, Ericsson, and Samsung.

Oravel Stays, the parent company of OYO stated that it has agreed to acquire G6 Hospitality, the leading economy lodging franchisor and parent company of Motel 6 and the chain's offshoot hotel brand, Studio 6.

Air India has hired 9,000 employees, including 5,000 crew members, in the last two years to meet the workforce requirement for its expanding fleet and network, the airline's chief Campbell Wilson said on Friday.
