A newborn boy in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur district has been named 'Sanitiser'. His father Omvir Singh, resident of Vijay Vihar, said he had named his son 'Sanitizer' because it had the capacity to fight against the coronavirus. Whenever people will talk of Corona, they will remember that it was Sanitizer that saved them, Omvir said as quoted by IANS.
Sanitiser was born on Sunday in a hospital and his mother Monika said that as soon as her husband announced that his son would be named 'Sanitiser, all medical staff started smiling.

The government on Tuesday stressed that the chain of transmission of coronavirus can be broken successfully if no case is reported for 28 days from a particular area. This comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the morning announced the extension of countrywide lockdown till May 3.
The information was given by Health Ministry Joint Secretary Lav Aggarwal during the daily press brief when he was asked out the 40-day lockdown (post extension).

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the extension of nationwide lockdown on Tuesday morning, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a directive to the states and union territories to bring it into force.
In a letter to chief secretaries of states, administrators of union territories and all ministries and departments under the Centre, the MHA listed directions for the lockdown in all parts of the country till May 3.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday morning announced the extension of the countrywide lockdown till May 3, around 1500 migrant labourers, mostly from Bihar and West Bengal took to the streets of Mumbai protesting against the extension.
