New Delhi: The farmers' protest against the new agricultural laws continues on the 43rd day and agitators on all the borders of Delhi will take out a tractor march on Thursday (January 7). Farmers are calling it a rehearsal of the tractor parade on January 26. On Republic Day, farmers have warned to carry out a parade in Delhi and other parts of the country.

Shares of SBI Cards and Payment Services (SBI Card) rose 5 per cent to hit a new high of Rs 957.45 on the BSE on Wednesday on the back of heavy volumes. The stock surpassed its previous high of Rs 918.60, scaled on October 15, 2020.

TOKYO (Reuters) - Oil prices rose on Wednesday to their highest since February 2020 after Saudi Arabia agreed to reduce output more than expected in a meeting with allied producers, while industry figures showed U.S. crude stockpiles were down last week.

Brent crude rose as much as nearly 1% to $54.09 a barrel, the highest since Feb. 26, 2020. It was at $53.87 a barrel at 0536 GMT after jumping 4.9% on Tuesday.

A brutal and horrific case of alleged gang rape, reminiscent of the Nirbhaya gang-rape case in Delhi, was reported from Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district where a middle-aged woman was assaulted, gang-raped and then killed.

After a US Congress report, the US Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster has commented on the defence relations of India-Russia. In a way, he has warned India that relations with Russia can affect its relations with the US. However, Juster has also made it clear that the US does not act against sanctions against friends.
