United States (US) President Donald Trump and Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden took rhetorical swipes at each other on Monday as the presidential race entered its traditional homestretch on the U.S. Labor Day holiday.

Trump described Biden, whom he trails in national polls, as a threat to the economy and stupid, while Biden took aim at Trump`s reported disparaging of fallen troops.

The Punjab government of Monday announced some relaxations in lockdown in urban areas, including the opening of non-essential shops on Saturdays and relaxation in their timing from Monday to Saturday till 9 pm amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

On September 4, Tata Sons purchased 5.3 million shares, representing 1.04 per cent stake of Tata Motors DVR, at price of Rs 56.02 per share on the NSE via bulk deal, the exchange data shows. The names of the sellers were not ascertained immediately.

India's COVID-19 tally of cases went past 42 lakh with a record 90,802 people being infected in a day, while 32,50,429 people have recuperated so far, pushing the national recovery rate to 77.30 per cent on Monday, according to the Union health ministry data.
