In a major development, the DNA samples of three people killed in an alleged fake encounter with the Army in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir in July has matched with that of their families. Inspector General of Police, kashmir, Vijay kumar said: Since DNA samples matched with family, three dead bodies will be exhumed and handed over to families after due process of law.

In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped and killed in Uttar Pradesh's Balrampur on Tuesday. The victim was a second-year B.Com student and was on her way back home from college when she was gang-raped.
