Microsoft Corporation has announced the formal opening of Microsoft Garage in Hyderabad. The Garage is a platform for the company’s employees that supports experimentation and encourages problem-solving in new and innovative ways. The Garage facility at the Microsoft India Development Center in Hyderabad will focus on future technologies such as artificial intelligence and IoT among others, and has started engaging with the local community. Besides, the company will soon be opening another Garage in Bengaluru.

Microsoft's intelligent keyboard, SwiftKey, announced a product update, whereby the existing Hub will be replaced with Toolbar, an expandable menu that gives fast and easy access to a host of new and existing frequently used features, on both Android and iOS.

The new feature, available on SwiftKey 7.0, can be found under the new + sign on the left of the prediction bar.

BENGALURU: Microsoft is revamping its startup accelerator programme, which began in 2012 with one each in Bengaluru and Israel, and changing its leadership teams.

Tech giant Microsoft today said it has inked its first renewable energy deal in India for powering its new facility in Bengaluru. The agreement will see Microsoft purchase 3 megawatts of solar-powered electricity from Atria Power for its new office building in Bengaluru, meeting 80 per cent of the projected electricity needs at the facility, Microsoft said in a statement.
