TVS Motor Company today launched the new 'Chocolate Gold Edition' of the 2016 TVS Star City+ motorcycle.

The new variant will provide a premium look and also cater to the popular colour preference of motorcycle buyers, said the company.

TVS Motor Company, one of India's leading two wheeler manufacturers, has rolled out a special TVS Scooty Zest 110 'Himalayan Highs' edition'. The company said that this is to commemorate TVS Scooty Zest 110's ride to Khardung La Pass by a female rider, Anam Hashim.

With this feat, TVS Scooty Zest 110 has earned a place in the India Book of Records for being the first 110 cc Scooter to reach Khardung La in the Himalayas, said the company in a statement.

TVS Motor Co. Ltd shares had raced ahead of the S&P BSE Auto index in the past 12 months, building on hopes of a sharp volume revival and margin expansion. The company’s management has targeted 10% Ebitda (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) margin and an 18% market share by fiscal year 2018.

Pune-based two and three-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto has regained the number 3 spot, displacing Chennai-based TVS Motors after a gap of nearly 24 months.

Powered by new model launches in recent months — such as Avenger and V15 (promoted by INS Vikrant) — Bajaj's all-motorcycle line-up beat TVS Motors in April sales, which has motorcycles, scooters and mopeds in its line-up.

Infosys, UltraTech Cement, Petronet LNG, Finolex Industries and TVS Motor Company are among 12 stocks from the Nifty500 index hit their respective lifetime high price on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in intra-day today.

Atul, Bajaj Finance, Can Fin Homes, Kajaria Ceramics, Kansai Nerolac, Manpasand Beverages and Minda Corp are others from the index touching lifetime highs.

TVS Motor Company (Rs 326) and Ashok Leyland (Rs 108) have hit their respective lifetime high on the BSE in early morning trade.

At 09:37 AM, TVS Motor Company was trading 3% higher at Rs 324, extending its 18% rally thus far in March, as compared to 9% rise in the S&P BSE Sensex.

TVS Motor has hit a 52-week high of Rs 320 a share in the Bombay Stock Exchange on March 28. The stock prices saw an upward trend from March 18 and went through a significant hike from March 21.

On March 21, the stock prices went up from Rs 287.6 a share to Rs 305.35 per share, before closing the day. The prices went up during the next days and has hit a 52 week high today. The stock prices were a 52 week low at Rs 201 a share on August 24, 2015, according to BSE.

Shares of automobiles companies are on a roll with Hero MotoCorp, Ashok Leyland and TVS Motor Company touching their respective 52-week highs on the BSE in intra-day today.

The S&P BSE Auto index ended up 1% at 17,731 as compared to 0.18% rise in the S&P BSE Sensex which ended at 25,330. Thus far in March, auto index rallied 12% against 10% gain in the benchmark index.

TVS Motor Company was trading higher by nearly 3% at Rs 313, extending its previous day’s 6% rally on the BSE, on back of heavy volumes.

The stock of two-three wheeler maker hit 52-week high of Rs 315 on the BSE in intra-day trade today. It quoting nears to its lifetime high of Rs 322 touched on January 19, 2015.
