Princeton Lightwave, Inc.
Princeton Lightwave was spun off from SRI International subsidiary Sarnoff Corp. in 2000. The company's financial backers include Morgenthaler, U.S. Venture Partners, and Venrock Associates. Princeton Lightwave is educated in the ways of wavelengths. The company develops distributed feedback, erbium-doped fiber amplifier, and Raman pump lasers used in optical transmission. Princeton's lines of WavePower and WaveHarp laser components are intended to be incorporated into fiber-optic equipment, such as dense wavelength division multiplexing devices, built by other manufacturers. Its WaveRider amplifier chips are used to boost the power of lasers.
