Lingaraja Temple: Lingaraj Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Harihara, another name for Shiva and is one of the oldest temples of Bhubaneswar, a revered pilgrimage center and the capital of the state of Orissa, India.Lingaraaj means The king of Lingam, the symbol of Shaivism. Shiva is here worshipped as Tribhuvaneshwara (Master of three worlds, i.e. Heaven, Earth and Netherworld). His consort is called Bhuvaneshvari.The temple is more than 1100 years old, dating back in its present form to the last decade of the eleventh century. |

Udayagiri Caves : The Udayagiri Caves are an early Hindu ritual site located near Vidisha in the state of Madhya Pradesh, Northern India. They were extensively carved and reworked under the command of Candragupta II, Emperor of the Gupta Empire, in the late 4th and 5th century CE. One of India's most important archaeological sites from the Gupta period, it is currently a tourist site under the protection of the Archaeological Survey of India.The site at Udayagiri Caves was extensively reworked under the patronage of Candragupta II, who ruled the Gupta Empire between c. 380 and 413/415 CE. The Regional Science Park : The Regional Science Park in Khorda is located on the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Road near the Acharya Vihar Square. It is 4 kms from Bhubaneswar and very close to the Regional College of Education.The Park has four halls which consist of over 100 exhibits to popularize science and technology among school children. Built in 1989, the collection of scientific gadgets, models, principles and instruments make learning fun. Other attractions include a games corner for children and a prehistoric theme park. |

Orissa State Museum : The genesis of the Orissa State Museum goes back to the year l932, when two notable Historians, Prof. N.C. Banerjee and Prof. Ghanshyam Dash of Ravenshaw College, Cuttack started collection of archaeological treasures from various places. The small Museum was then housed within the premises of the College. In l938, by a suitable order, the Government of Orissa transformed this nucleus into the Provincial Museum of Orissa and appointed Committee of Management consisting of the Principal, the Head of the Department of History and three other Professors of the College.

| Tribal Museum : Check out the museums in Bhubaneswar especially the Tribal Museum, at the back of the famed Jagannath temple at Koraput. You can learn about life styles of the tribes and their culture. Study the sculptures of stone and wood, intricate jewelry, terracotta and even textiles. To enrich your knowledge spend some time browsing their library. The museum even has a small zoo within the premises. Visitors are allowed in the museum from 10 am to 5 pm, on all days except National holidays. |
| Dhauli : Dhauli hills are located on the banks of the river Daya, 8 km south of Bhubaneswar in Orissa (India). It is a hill with vast open space adjoining it, and has major Edicts of Ashoka engraved on a mass of rock, by the side of the road leading to the summit of the hill. Dhauli hill is presumed to be the area where Kalinga War was fought.The Rock Edicts found here include Nos. I-X, XIV and two separate Kalinga Edicts. In Kalinga Edict VI, he expresses his concern for the "welfare of the whole world". The rock-cut elephant above the Edicts is the earliest Buddhist sculpture of Orissa.

| Ram Mandir : Ram Mandir, in the heart of Bhubaneswar, near Kharavel Nagar, Janpath, is a temple housing beautiful images of Lord Rama, Lord Lakshman, and Goddess Sita.
